Are the Bose Lifestyle 600/650 Home Theater speakers wireless?

We have written about this topic before but it continues to be asked during every consultation. The answer is Yes and No. Confused? Let’s discuss the options for each type of speaker. The front speakers, left, right, and center, need to be wired directly to the Bose Lifestyle console. The rear speakers can either be wired directly to the console or wired to the wireless receivers that are included with the Lifestyle 600 and 650 Home Theater systems. Using the wireless receiver eliminates the need to run wires from the front to the back of the room. Each receiver needs an electrical outlet. The Bose Acoustimass bass speaker is wireless as long as it is no more than 30’ from the Bose Lifestyle console. If you locate the Bose Acoustimass bass speaker further than 30’ from the console, it can be wired directly to the console using a 3.5 mm shielded audio cable. The Bose Acoustimass bass speaker needs to be connected to an electrical outlet.
