When you get a new router, change your password, or change internet providers, you may need to update your Sonos system. There are 3 different scenarios for updating your system depending on which Sonos app you are using and if your system is wired or wireless. When updating your system, you will need a mobile device. The process cannot be completed using a MAC or PC. If you are using the Sonos S2 app and see “Unable to Connect to Sonos”, just tap “Let’s Fix It” and then follow on the on-screen instructions. If you are using the Sonos S1 app and have a wireless set-up, you will need to temporarily connect one Sonos device to your router using an ethernet cable. Open the app and when you see “Unable to Connect to Sonos System” tap “Learn More”. Next, tap “Changed Router or Wi-Fi Settings” then follow the on-screen instructions. If some rooms are still missing after you have wired a product, go to Settings > System > Network > Wireless Setup to connect them to the Wi-Fi network. If you have a wired system, simply connect the devices to your new router. If some products are still missing after connecting to the new router, simply re-boot the missing products.
