How Can I Improve My Outdoor Sound?

Over the past couple of weeks, we have focused on outdoor audio, triggering some questions on how to improve the sound in outdoor Living Spaces beyond the traditional outdoor speakers. Depending on your system, you can add outdoor subwoofers. There are 3 types of outdoor subwoofers: in-ground, hardscape, and rock. All models require a separate amplifier. Depending on the manufacturer and model, the amplifier power requirements will vary from 100 to 500 watts. Please note, those that have a Bose Soundtouch system, adding a subwoofer is not an option. For those with a Sonos amplifier powering existing outdoor speakers, you can connect the subwoofer amplifier to the bass output on your Sonos amplifier.
