Does the Bose App Work With Bose SoundTouch Products?

Although we’ve covered this topic before, with the recent end of life for the Bose SoundTouch app, it’s a good time to review it again. This is especially important because the Bose Music app has now been renamed simply the Bose app.

No matter the name, the answer remains the same: the Bose app does not work with Bose SoundTouch products.

Whether you can still stream music on your existing SoundTouch system depends on the specific product and model number. Some SoundTouch products include Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay capabilities, which may still allow limited music playback.

Bose also offers another app called Bose Connect. However, this app was designed for certain Bose products released after SoundTouch and it also does not work with SoundTouch products.
