What is the Difference Between Bose SoundTouch and Bose Music?

Bose SoundTouch and Bose Music are the names of the Bose streaming apps. The Bose SoundTouch app was the original Bose streaming music app. SoundTouch Music streaming was built into products such as the SoundTouch speakers, SA-4/SA-5 amplifiers, SoundTouch Wave Radio, SoundTouch soundbars, and the Lifestyle 600, 650, and BIV Home Theater systems. The only products still available from Bose using the SoundTouch app are the Lifestyle Home Theater systems. The Bose Music app is the newest Bose streaming app. Bose Music streaming is built into the existing line of Bose Smart Speakers and Soundbars. Currently, Bose does not offer any Bose Music expansion amplifiers or Bose Music Home Theater systems. The most important thing to know that products using these different apps are not compatible. For example, if you have a Lifestyle 600/650 system and purchased a Bose Music Smart speaker, these 2 products would operate on the 2 different apps and as a result, could not play the same source simultaneously.
