Why Aren't My Sonos Rooms Grouping Together?

For many of our clients who have upgraded their older Bose systems to Sonos, there is one simple issue that comes up quite often. A customer tries to group multiple rooms together, but the rooms never join the group. As a result, it may appear that the Sonos system is not working properly.
In most cases, the solution is very simple.
When grouping rooms in the Sonos app, you must tap the Apply button at the bottom of the screen after selecting the rooms you want to include. If you select the rooms but do not tap Apply, the grouping will not take effect and the rooms will continue to play independently.
So, if your rooms aren't grouping together, don't worry—the system is probably working just fine. Just remember this important final step: Select your rooms, then tap Apply.
