With many of our clients looking to update their older Lifestyle systems, some clients are exploring other brands such as Sonos which, over the past few years has soared in popularity and sales. The Sonos success is the reason we secured a Sonos dealership. Clients that are considering switching to Sonos are sometimes hesitant because of the major investment in Bose and often ask “Can any of My Bose equipment be used with Sonos?”. The answer is yes. If you are upgrading your Bose Lifestyle system, it is necessary to upgrade your Music Zone amplifiers and Sonos amps will work with 99% of your existing Music Zone Bose speakers. It is important to note that you cannot use your Bose Lifestyle Home Theater cube speakers with Sonos equipment. A great sounding alternative to the Bose Lifestyle system is the Sonos ARC Soundbar and Sonos sub for the front speakers and pair of Bose 791/891 flush mounted speakers with a Sonos amplifier for the rear speakers. The investment for this Sonos Home Theater alternative is less than a new complete Bose Lifestyle Home Theater system and slightly more than a simple Bose console/bass module upgrade. For the majority of our projects, both new and upgrades, we are offering 2 proposals, one for all Bose and another for Bose speakers with Sonos electronics.
