Can I Control My Sonos System with Alexa?

For client’s that don’t want to use their smart devices to control their Sonos systems, Amazon Alexa is a great way to control your system by simply using your voice and the set-up is easy. First, download the Sonos Skill on your Amazon device. To do this, open the Alexa app on your phone or computer and tap skills and then search for the Sonos. Next select the Sonos Skill. And enable the Sonos skill. Now enter your Sonos account information. Now you’re ready to have Alexa discover your Sonos speakers. This can be done one of 2 ways. First, say “Alexa, discover devices”. An alternative method is open the Alexa app and, in the menu, tap Smart Home from the menu and then tap “Devices and Discover”. Once Alexa has discovered all your Sonos speakers, you are now ready to control your Sonos system simply by using your voice. You can try something like, “Alexa, play Pandora in the Kitchen” or “Alexa, lower the volume on the Deck”.
