As part of the Bose announcement regarding the end of the SoundTouch music streaming platform effective February 18, 2026, many users have asked what this means for their Bose SoundTouch amplifiers, models SA-4 and SA-5.

Here’s what you need to know:

🔹 What Will Stop Working

After February 18, 2026, music streaming through the SoundTouch app will no longer function. That means:

  • You won’t be able to stream music services such as Pandora, Spotify, or Amazon Music via the SoundTouch app.

  • You also won’t be able to group multiple SoundTouch zones for synchronized playback.

🔹 What Will Still Work

  • Bluetooth streaming: If your SoundTouch amplifier supports Bluetooth, you can still pair it with your phone or tablet to play music from any Bluetooth-enabled device.

🔹 Recommended Solutions

If you want to continue enjoying full-featured wireless streaming and multi-room music, consider transitioning to Sonos, which offers:

  • Easy app-based control from any phone or tablet

  • Support for more than 100 streaming services

  • Seamless integration across rooms and devices

Your existing speakers can often be reused with a Sonos Amp, allowing you to upgrade gradually without having to start from scratch.
