Can I Keep My Bose Lifestyle System and Upgrade My Music Rooms to Sonos?
Yes, in most cases you can.
Clients with a Bose Lifestyle system and Bose multi-room music often ask if they can keep their Lifestyle system for TV and surround sound while upgrading the other music rooms in their home to Sonos.
Unlike older Bose multi-room systems, each Sonos music room can operate independently. This allows you to upgrade your music rooms to Sonos music streaming and ease of use while continuing to use your existing Bose Lifestyle system for TV audio.
You can also add a Sonos Port to the Bose Lifestyle system. This allows you to stream music from the Sonos app through your Bose Lifestyle system and group it with your other Sonos rooms, giving you music throughout the home from one app.
Another benefit is that, in the vast majority of installations, your existing Bose in-ceiling, in-wall, or outdoor music speakers and wiring can still be used. We simply replace the older Bose amplifiers with Sonos amplifiers.
