What is Bose “Stereo Everywhere”?

During in home consultations, we intentionally try not to be over technical. Our goal is not to overwhelm our clients with fancy technical words, but help them to better understand what products will meet their needs. The challenge with this approach is not missing the unique, distinct benefits of Bose technologies. One of these we would like to review is “Stereo Everywhere”. With conventional speakers, speakers radiate sound in a single direction into the listening area. As a result, you hear balanced stereo sound only in one small "sweet spot" of the room. Many Bose® speakers use either proprietary Direct/Reflecting® speaker technology or an Articulated Array® speaker design. These Bose technologies, by directing sound in multiple directions and off of walls, creates a balanced stereo sound almost anywhere in the listening area. This is known as Stereo Everywhere® speaker performance. Great examples are the 301 bookshelf speakers, Bose in ceiling or wall speakers, and the Acoustimass® 5 Series V stereo speaker system.
