Can I use my Bose Sa-5 amplifier outdoors?

Although the Bose Sa-5 amplifier is designed to power all Bose speakers such as the 151’s, 251’s, and FS-51’s, the amplifier can not be located outdoors. The amplifier is not designed to withstand the elements. It is necessary to run wire from each of the outdoor speakers to the Bose SA-5 amplifier. Possible good locations are the garage, Pool House, and basements. Some clients have asked if we can install the amplifier outdoors in a weatherproof box. Again, the answer is no. Weatherproof enclosures are usually constructed of metal or fiberglass. These materials greatly degrade the Wifi signal necessary to operate the SA-5 amplifiers.
