Why Can’t I Select My Soundtouch 20 in the Bose app?

Writer: Craig WhitakerCraig Whitaker

If your SoundTouch system appears gray in the SoundTouch app but you cannot select it, here are a couple of things you can try. First, close and reopen the SoundTouch app. If the problem persists, be sure your system is powered on and, confirm that your Soundtouch 20 is connected to your network. If you are using a wireless connection, the Wi-Fi indicator light should be solid white. If you are using a wired connection, be sure your network cable is securely connected at both ends.

If your problem continues, confirm your Soundtouch system and the device running the SoundTouch app is connected to the same network. If you have recently changed your Internet provider or upgraded your network, be sure to update the network settings in the SoundTouch with new network and password. Also, be aware that most home networks can handle up to 4 Soundtouch devices and adding more interconnected devices, will impact your network’s bandwidth and resulting performance. As more and more of your home devices are connected to your Wi-Fi network, you may need to upgrade your router and/or service.
