When upgrading My Bose Lifestyle system, can I use my old speaker Brackets?

Updated: Aug 15, 2020

Many of our clients are taking advantage of our trade up program and are replacing their old Bose Lifestyle system with one of the newer Bose Lifestyle systems. The 1stquestion we are often asked, “ Can I use my existing brackets and wiring”. The answer is simple, it depends on what system you are trading up to. If you are trading up to the Lifestyle 600 system, we can use your existing brackets and wiring. If you are upgrading to the Bose IN wall BIV Home Theater system, brackets aren’t needed and your existing wiring will work. However, depending on your existing amplifier, you may need to extend the speaker wires. If you are upgrading to the new Omni Jewel Lifestyle 650 system, you will need to change brackets and add a couple of additional speaker wires. Please note, there are differences between the Omni Jewel ceiling and wall brackets and they are not interchangeable. A center Omni Jewel speaker bracket is needed. With the Lifestyle 650 system, the center speaker requires 3 individual speaker wires and the existing Lifestyle systems only have one center speaker wire.
