Can a Sonos Amplifier Power My Bose Jewel Cube Speakers?

A visitor to our website reached out and asked, can a Sonos amplifier power his Bose Jewel Cube speakers from his Bose Lifestyle system that had stopped working after many years. His goal was to connect his rear Jewel cube speakers to a Sonos amplifier for music. Unfortunately, the answer is an emphatic NO! The Bose Lifestyle systems were always designed as a self-contained system. All the Bose cube speakers, including the Jewel and Omni-Jewel, can only be powered by either the Bose bass modules, where the amplifier is built into the rear of the unit, or a Bose Lifestyle 600 or 650 console. Connecting those speakers to any other amplifier will not sound bad but will damage the amplifier. If you have an older Bose system that can no longer be repaired or connect to a new TV, it may be time to upgrade your Bose system.
