Can I Add a Sonos Port to My Bose Lifestyle and Stream to my other Soundtouch Speakers?

The answer is a two-part “yes and no.”

Part 1 – Yes, You Can Stream Music Through Your Lifestyle System

Connecting a Sonos Port to your Bose Lifestyle system will let you stream music from the Sonos app through your Lifestyle system just like any other input (such as a CD player or cable box). You’ll enjoy access to Sonos’s easy-to-use app, dozens of streaming services, and modern wireless control — all while using your existing Lifestyle speakers.

Part 2 – No, You Can’t Stream Sonos Music to Other SoundTouch Devices

Here’s the limitation: adding a Sonos Port won’t let you send that Sonos music to your other Bose SoundTouch amplifiers or speakers. The Port acts as just another source connected to your Lifestyle console — it doesn’t integrate into the SoundTouch platform.

Since the SoundTouch app and cloud services will be discontinued on February 18, 2026, those speakers won’t be able to stream or group zones together once the platform shuts down.

The Bottom Line

If you only have a Lifestyle system, adding a Sonos Port is an excellent way to keep streaming music alive through your existing speakers. But if you have multiple SoundTouch zones, it’s time to start considering an upgrade path — such as transitioning fully to Sonos, where all rooms can connect and stream together on one platform.
