This week, we received a call from a long-time client who had received an email from Sonos about recent improvements to the app. He asked whether he needed to delete and reinstall the app to get the updates.

The answer? No! Sonos app updates are automatically available when released—you simply need to approve them when prompted. Deleting and reinstalling the app is unnecessary.

Keeping your Sonos app up to date ensures you get the latest features, security improvements, and overall enhancements. It’s always a good practice to update your apps regularly.

To make sure you never miss an update, you can set your Sonos app to update automatically. Open the Sonos app, go to General Settings, select System Updates, and turn on Update Automatically.

By enabling this setting, you’ll always have the latest improvements without having to think about it. Enjoy your Sonos system hassle-free!
