How Can I Share My Sonos Account with Another Person?

We’re often asked this during new Sonos installations. After we set up the Sonos app on the homeowner’s phone, the next question is usually:

“My partner isn’t home.”“My kids are still at school.”“Will they be able to control the system from their phones?”

The answer is a definite yes and it’s very easy to do.

How to Add Sonos to Another Phone or Device

  1. Have the other person download the Sonos app from the App Store or Google Play.

  2. When prompted to Create or Sign In to an Existing Account, select Sign In to an Existing Account.

  3. Enter the same username (email address) and password used on the original Sonos account.

That’s it.

As long as the same login credentials are used, the Sonos app on the new device will automatically sync and display the same rooms, services, and settings.

The Bottom Line

Everyone in the household can control the Sonos system from their own phone, tablet, or smart device. No special permissions are required—just the account login.

If you need help adding users or managing your Sonos account, we’re always happy to assist.
