What is the Sonos “Loudness” adjustment?

Last week we discussed how to adjust the Treble, Bass, Balance, and Loudness on your Sonos system using the Sonos app. A couple of our clients inquired what did the Loudness adjustment do? The Loudness adjustment will increase certain frequencies, including bass, during low listening volumes. When listening at a low volume, this will help compensate for your ear’s sensitivity. This is especially helpful when listening to music at a low volume. When you lower a system’s volume, the bass frequencies lower and you may not hear all the instruments. Adjusting the Loudness will allow you to listen at a volume and hear all the music frequencies.
