What’s Going to Happen to My Bose SoundTouch Products on February 18, 2026?

As expected, many of our readers have reached out following our recent email about the end of the Bose SoundTouch music streaming platform. The most common reactions were, “They can’t do this!” — followed closely by the universal question:“What’s going to happen to my Bose SoundTouch products on February 18, 2026, and what are my options?”

Here’s the short answer: On February 18, 2026, Bose will no longer operate the SoundTouch platform. This applies to all SoundTouch-enabled products, including:

  • Bose Lifestyle systems with SoundTouch

  • Bose SoundTouch amplifiers (models SA-4 and SA-5)

  • Bose SoundTouch speakers (models 10, 20, and 30)

After that date, music streaming and multi-zone grouping will no longer be available through the SoundTouch app or platform.

However, what you can still do with your existing SoundTouch products — and the best path forward — will vary by product type.

Over the next three weeks, our Question of the Week series will explore specific impacts and solutions for each SoundTouch category:

  1. Week 1: Bose SoundTouch streaming amplifiers

  2. Week 2: Bose Lifestyle Home Theater systems with SoundTouch

  3. Week 3: Bose SoundTouch music streaming speakers

In the meantime, if you have specific questions or would like to understand your options, take advantage of our free Virtual Consultations by calling 888-775-2673.
