Why can’t I access my music library with the Soundtouch app?

For the holidays, some may have received a new laptop or desktop computer and now are having problems accessing their music libraries with the Bose Soundtouch app. There are a couple of quick items to check. First, be sure the Soundtouch app is installed on your new computer. Next, confirm the new music library has been added to the Soundtouch app. If not, follow the steps within the app to add your new music library. Finally, be sure the I-Tunes or Windows Media settings on your new laptop are set to allow sharing. For iTunes, open I-Tunes, select Edit, then select Preferences, then select Advanced. Be sure "Share iTunes XML with other applications" is checked. Next, again open I-tunes, select preferences, then Sharing. Confirm "Share my library on my local network" is checked. Then, select "Share entire library".

For Windows Media Player, Open Windows Media Player, select Stream and then select "Allow remote control of my player". Then again, open Windows Media Player and select Stream, then select "Automatically allow devices to play my media".
