Can I Connect a Turntable to My Bose System?

Last week we discussed connecting a turntable to a Sonos system. That triggered some questions about connecting a turntable to a Bose Home Theater system. One of the biggest differences between connecting to a Bose system and a Sonos system is that to play the turntable through all of your music zones, you need to connect the turntable to a Bose Lifestyle console. It can’t be connected to any of the music amplifiers. To make this connection, you will need a RCA to RCA cable and phono pre-amp unless your turntable has a built in phono pre-amp. First, connect the phono pre-amp to your turntable. Next connect one end of the RCA cable to the phono pre-amp and the other end of the RCA cable to the Aux input on your Bose console. To listen, start the turntable and select Aux on your Bose Lifestyle remote control. To listen in other rooms, open the Bose app and add other rooms to your Home Theater system group.
