For many of our clients upgrading from older Bose Lifestyle systems to new Sonos systems, this marks their first experience with streaming music. As with any new technology, the concept can feel overwhelming, often leading to many questions. One of the most common questions we hear is, “What happens if I get a new phone?” or “Can I access my system when I’m not at home?”

When you first set up your Sonos system, a personal Sonos account is created. If you purchase a new phone, all you need to do is download the Sonos app on your new device—whether it's iOS or Android—and log into your account. All your system settings and information will automatically transfer to your new phone.

As for using the system when you're not home, the Sonos app can be installed on multiple devices, allowing you to give access to anyone who may need it. During our installations, we can help set up the app on as many devices as you like.
