What Is the New Sonos Beam Ultra?

Sonos has just announced the newest member of its soundbar family—the Sonos Beam Ultra.

Designed as a compact, mid-size soundbar, the Beam Ultra features nine custom speaker drivers, including two dedicated up-firing drivers, to deliver true 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos surround sound. It is an excellent option for customers who want an immersive home theater experience but don't need the larger Sonos Arc Ultra.

The Beam Ultra is designed for TVs up to 65 inches and connects to your TV using HDMI eARC. It also features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Beam Ultra includes many of Sonos' most popular features, including Trueplay room tuning, AI Speech Enhancement, Night Sound, voice control, Apple AirPlay 2, and the ability to enjoy TV audio through compatible Sonos headphones.

For an even more immersive home theater experience, the Beam Ultra can be paired with a Sonos Sub 4 or Sub Mini for deeper bass and a pair of compatible Sonos speakers for rear surround sound.

The new Sonos Beam Ultra is priced at $699 and will be generally available beginning September 29, 2026.
